Build & Price Your 2025 Toyota 4Runner

The 4Runner has been part of Toyota's lineup for nearly four decades. Over that time, this mid-size, body-on-frame SUV has developed a deserved reputation for being both a versatile people mover and a capable off-roader.
Every 2022 Toyota 4Runner is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 which produces 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, and features a five-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is an option on five of the eight 4Runner trim levels, and is standard on the off-road oriented versions like the TRD Off-Road, the TRD Off-Road Premium, and the TRD Pro.
The SR5 comes standard with a robust eight-speaker infotainment system. Highlights include an 8.0-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth audio and phone audio compatibility/trial subscriptions to SIRIUS XM, Connected Services by Toyota, and WiFi are also included.
Every 4Runner also comes with Toyota Safety Sense P, a robust list of safety equipment which includes Pre-Collision System with Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beams. LED lighting is now standard for all 4Runner models.
Why You Want Premium Audio
Because you want factory navigation. If you can do without factory navigation, you'll save some money by not upgrading to Premium Audio. What chiefly distinguishes the Premium Audio package is the inclusion of Dynamic Navigation which includes Dynamic POI Search, and Dynamic Voice Recognition, which are subscription-based services.
Why You Want the Technology Package
This package adds a Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to the list of standard safety features. If you spend lots of time in dense urban environments, or have a young driver in the family, these additional driver aids will prove valuable.
Why You Want to the Premium Package
You like the look and feel of leather, but want seating surfaces that are easy to care for. This package upgrades the standard cloth seating surfaces to Toyota's Softex synthetic leather. It also includes the Panoramic View monitor, which makes parking in close quarters hassle-free.
Why You Want the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System
You like high performance on road and off. Toyota's KDSS works by using a combination of hydraulics and electronics to control the vehicle's stabilizer bars, and is designed to allow for more wheel travel off-road, while minimizing body roll on-road.
Why You Want the Premium Package
You want durable and easy-to-clean Softex synthetic leather. The TRD Off-Road Premium version of the 4Runner also includes Toyota's Multi-Terrain Monitor. With front, rear, and side camera views of the area surrounding your vehicle, this system takes the guesswork out of getting through tight spots off-road.

Why You Want the SR5
You're looking for a capable, roomy, and reliable ride that won't break the bank. The SR5 is the entry-level trim of the 4Runner lineup. Available in five exterior colors and two interior colors, this trim provides plenty of opportunity for customization
Premium Audio is available with this model.

Why You Want the TRD Sport
You want access to premium paint, and more creature comforts over the base SR5. The TRD Sport adds desirable features like 20-inch alloy wheels, off-road tuned suspension, TRD badges, and Softex synthetic leather seats. Selecting the TRD Sport trim also adds Army Green and Lunar Rock to the list of available color choices.
Premium Audio & Technology Package are available with this model.

Why You Want the Trail Special Edition
You like to stand out, and you want a roof rack. The Trail Special Edition is kind of a "factory custom" version of the 4Runner. Available in four distinct colors, it also features some touches unique across model line, including dark gray 17-inch alloy wheels, a Yakima LoadWarrior rooftop cargo basket, and a Toyota-branded 40-quart cooler designed specifically to be secured in the cargo area.
Premium Audio is available with this model.

Why You Want the SR5 Premium
You want more standard safety features and creature comforts over TRD Sport Models. Along with the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, the SR5 Premium trim features additional amenities like heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and an integrated HomeLink Universal Transceiver garage door opener.
Premium Package is available with this model.

Why You Want the Limited
You like bling. The Limited features several exterior improvements over the standard 4Runner, including side rocker panels, chrome trim, and chrome door handles. Inside, it features dual-zone climate control, leather-trimmed seats, and a 15-speaker JBL audio system. Limited models are also equipped with the TRD Sport's optimized suspension, and front and rear parking assist functions.
The option packages for the Limited are designed around third-row seating, automatic running boards, and a sliding rear cargo deck.

Why You Want the TRD Off-Road
You want off-road capability but don't need to go in on a TRD Pro. All versions of the TRD Off-Road come standard with four-wheel drive, and traction control optimized for slippery, off-road environments.
A locking rear differential is also standard, as is Multi-Terrain Select, which features settings for Mud and Sand, Loose Rock, Rock and Dirt, and Mogul and Rock. Another off-road feature standard on this trim is Crawl Control, which functions like an off-road cruise control, and manages low-speed throttle response so drivers can focus solely on steering.
Premium Audio & the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System are available with this model.

Why You Want the TRD Off-Road Premium
You like the creature comforts on the Limited trim, but you also like going camping. As the name suggests, the TRD Off-Road Premium is the more luxurious version of the TRD Off-Road. It features the same off-road optimized hardware and traction control settings, but adds features like heated SofTex front seats.
Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System & the Premium Package are available with this model.

Why You Want a 4Runner TRD Pro
You want the most 4Runner of the 4Runners. The TRD Pro is the range-topping version of the 4Runner line, and the choice for off-road fans. It comes standard with high-performance Fox shocks, TRD front springs, a locking differential, and a unique "TOYOTA" front grille.
It also features 17-inch matte black alloy wheels, a TRD Pro-stamped aluminum front skid plate, and a TRD roof rack. Many premium features that are available as options further down the hierarchy are standard on the TRD Pro, and there's also a unique exterior color, Lime Rush, which is unavailable on other versions of the 4Runner.
The option packages for the TRD Pro are self-explanatory, and revolve entirely around whether you'd like Running Boards, a Sliding Rear Cargo Deck, or both.
